Adult men accused of beating up downtown Austin food items seller above $6 incredibly hot dog

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two gentlemen face 2nd-diploma felony aggravated assault charges following an incident Wednesday night in Austin’s enjoyment district.

In accordance to an Austin Police Section affidavit, the men are accused of beating up a vendor soon after an argument more than the rate of a scorching canine in front of a bar on East Sixth Street all around 2 a.m.

Jeremy Delgado, 21, and Bobby Wynn, 19, ended up arrested after APD officers spoke with witnesses at the scene and reviewed HALO cameras in the place of the incident. Via a witness account, the affidavit said the Delgado pushed the seller to the floor pursuing an argument about the cost of the sizzling dog — $6 — and then he and Wynn “punched and kicked the seller quite a few instances.”

One more witness said Delgado begun yelling at the vendor about the price tag, and then it “got out of hand,” the affidavit claimed.

Following the incident, the affidavit reported they ran off to a parking large amount between Seventh and Eighth streets under Interstate 35. That’s exactly where APD officers uncovered them and detained them, the affidavit reported.

APD officers discovered bloodstains on Delgado’s shoes and trousers, and the affidavit reported the officer didn’t see any injuries on Delgado that were constant with the bloodstains, so that led the officer to feel the stains arrived from kicking the vendor.

Wynn also faces a third-degree felony cost of tampering with or fabricating evidence. The affidavit explained Wynn “removed his sneakers and attempted to position them in a close by motor vehicle,” as officers approached them. Officers observed the shoes and “discovered contemporary blood,” on them.

The affidavit stated the seller sustained “life-threatening injuries,” together with a laceration on his head that “required many staples,” a lacerated liver together with severe pain all more than his overall body. The vendor was taken to a hospital for remedy, the affidavit reported. An officer located him covered in blood in entrance of the bar, the affidavit claimed.

The two are listed as becoming in custody at Travis County Jail, records clearly show. Both of those are staying held on $25,000 bond.
